"Kicked Out" 16 x 20 Oil on Canvas
This painting will be a part of the ARTIST AND POETS exhibition in Mesquite, NV. The Mesquite Fine Arts Gallery will be hosting the event, running March 3d - April 5th.
The Poem is chosen, then the painting is created to represent the poem. I chose "Wildfire". For those who are curious about the poem read on, otherwise check it out at the Mesquite Fine Arts Gallery.
"Wildfire" A moment of indiscretion starts simply with a look of interest and a response. Desire unleashes mutual passions. Soon a simple flirtation is out of hand, flames ignite that can not be stopped. One action leads to another, until a wildfire is out of control. destroying all in its path, impossible to extinguish, demanding fulfillment. Waves of guilt and remorse later cannot undo the destruction that follows: lives changed, principles compromised, disaster courted. All starting with an innocent spark. Lia Floyd
